BEFORE I WAKE is a full length play in two acts, and was presented in 2000 by The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in West Hollywood, CA. The production was directed by Anna Strasberg, and received ‘Critic’s Pick’ in the Los Angeles Times.

7 MILES FROM PRISON was originally presented at the Court Theatre in Hollywood, California in late 2002. After receiving critical praise from L.A. Weekly newspaper and the Los Angeles GLAAD Theatre Committee, the play was soon presented again in 2003. Most recently, the play was produced at the Cherry Lane Theater in Manhattan, NY.
His play, CAUGHT, was THE LONGEST RUNNING SHOW IN L.A. Caught closed August 7th, 2011.
He is looking to have his newest play HUBCAP produced.
Education
David L Ray received his B.A. in Speech/Drama Education from Georgia Southern University. He went on to receive his Masters Degree (M.Div.) from Claremont School of Theology.
